Dr. Nicolas-George (Nic) Katsantonis is a board-certified Otolaryngologist–Head and Neck Surgeon specializing in diagnosing and surgically treating ear, nose and throat conditions for both adults and children. He earned his Bachelor of Science, Cum Laude, from the University of Notre Dame in 2008, and his Doctor of Medicine, Summa Cum Laude, from Loyola University Chicago Stritch School of Medicine in 2013. Dr. Katsantonis completed his residency in Otolaryngology–Head and Neck Surgery at Vanderbilt University Medical Center in 2018, where he conducted research on idiopathic and acquired laryngotracheal stenosis and received first place in the Vanderbilt Otolaryngology Annual Resident Research Competition in 2017.
Dr. Katsantonis is trained in all areas of otolaryngology, with a special focus on head and neck cancer and its multimodal treatment, sinus disease, airway disorders and ear conditions. He values patient education, discussing surgical options, expected outcomes and supporting patients through the post-operative process. He and his wife, Allison, a pediatric occupational therapist, have a son named Arthur. The family enjoys outdoor activities, art, movies, cooking together and exploring North Carolina, including hiking in the Blue Ridge Mountains and trying local foods.
