Dr. Ramakrishnan completed his medical school training at the University of Texas-Houston and his Otolaryngology residency at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences and Arkansas Children’s Hospital. He then completed a fellowship in rhinology, allergy and skull base surgery at the University of Pittsburgh.
“I became a doctor because I wanted to dedicate my life and career to helping others,” he said. “I had ear tubes placed as a child after suffering from painful ear infections. I have watched my mother suffer with allergies all her life. I have suffered from sinus problems myself. This personal experience with ENT conditions, combined with my fascination with these parts of the human body and the medical and surgical treatments for these conditions, led me to pursue this specialty.”
He was born and raised in Texas and resides in Raleigh with his wife and two children. He loves spending time with his family, riding bikes, hiking and enjoying all the wonderful outdoor activities Raleigh and the Triangle area have to offer. He also enjoys traveling, reading and learning new things.
