Cheryl first learned about audiology as an undergraduate student at Louisiana Tech when she took an Intro to Audiology course. It was here that she saw just how much a hearing impairment could affect someone’s quality of life, relationships, confidence and mental health. As a graduate student at the University of Texas at Austin, she played a role in transforming patients’ lives by helping them hear and communicate with their loved ones and others in their lives. She has been fortunate to work in both a VA hospital setting and an ENT clinic, where she has been able to be part of many people’s journey to better hearing.
