Dr. Stanley A. Wilkins Jr. was born and raised in Durham, NC where he attended Northern High School, graduating in 1972. He completed his undergraduate studies in engineering at N.C. State University and received a master’s degree in biomedical engineering from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Dr. Wilkins completed his medical school training at the University of North Carolina in 1982. He completed his residency in otolaryngology – head and neck surgery at the Greater Baltimore Medical Center and Johns Hopkins Hospital. Dr. Wilkins is board- certified by the American Academy of Otolaryngology.
Dr. Wilkins specializes in all areas of ear, nose and throat medicine and surgery, including pediatric and adult problems of the ears, nose, sinuses, allergies, tumors of the face and neck. He particularly enjoys taking care of kids with ENT problems.
Dr. Stan (as he prefers to be called) and his wife, Julia Nipper Wilkins, enjoy snow skiing, scuba diving, hiking, bicycling and watching NC State athletics. His hobbies include model airplanes and rockets, and board gaming. He is an active member of Redeemer Presbyterian Church and participates in Bible Study Fellowship.
