“Specializing in otolaryngology is rewarding because we take care of patients in all stages of life, from newborns to senior citizens. It is a fascinating specialty because it involves very complex anatomy and a wide range of surgical procedures, including microsurgery.” Dr. Brown said. “While we do treat patients with life-threatening health problems, much of what we do has more to do with improving patients’ quality of life. Most patients feel much better and are happier after our medical or surgical treatment of their ENT problems. This makes our specialty very rewarding.”
