David A. Clark, MD, FACS
Dr. Clark completed his undergraduate degree and medical training at the University of Virginia, where he was Tau Beta Pi (Phi Beta Kappa in engineering), and earned his medical degree with honors.
He later completed his residency at the University of Virginia Medical Center, where he served as chief resident. Following residency, he served as Assistant Professor of Surgery at the National Naval Medical Center, where he trained numerous residents in otolaryngology. Dr. Clark then completed a fellowship in facial plastic and reconstructive surgery with nationally renowned plastic surgeon Dr. Richard Farrior in Tampa, Florida.
Dr. Clark enjoys all aspects of otolaryngology but has special expertise in reconstructive and cosmetic facial surgery. He regularly performs facial reconstruction for patients undergoing Mohs skin cancer surgery, and he has performed thousands of flaps and skin grafts in this setting.
Dr. Clark also has a special interest in functional and cosmetic nasal surgery, as he has a wealth of experience in primary and revision rhinoplasty.
Dr. Clark and his wife, Laura, have two boys and reside in Raleigh. They are members of White Memorial Presbyterian Church, where Dr. Clark has been active in Stephen Ministry and medical missions. During the past several years he has traveled to Bolivia, where he established an operating room for treatment of patients in Santa Cruz. Most recently, he has worked as part of a surgical team with Mission of Hope Bolivia.
