Raleigh Capitol ENT Welcomes Paige Gower, Physician Assistant
Raleigh Capitol Ear, Nose, and Throat is proud to announce the addition of Paige Gower, physician assistant, to our healthcare team. She’ll work closely with our leading ear, nose, and throat doctors in Raleigh to provide seamless care for a variety of adult and pediatric ENT issues.
For Paige, a career in medicine was not only an interest, but it was fueled by an underlying desire to help others. Her love of science began in high school, and she followed and nurtured this passion throughout her college career, deciding to become a physician assistant.
“I like that medicine integrates science with the art of helping people, and what I am truly passionate about is helping people improve their quality of life,” she said.
At first, she considered a career in dermatology, but she soon found she had a deep connection with the ENT specialty.
“I fell in love with ENT. I enjoy the interdisciplinary aspects of ENT, working alongside audiologists and speech pathologists. I appreciate the wide variety of conditions treated across all age groups within ENT,” she said. “I especially enjoy treating diseases of the ear and helping to optimize hearing in patients. I am excited to continue my career as an ENT PA with Raleigh Capitol ENT and look forward to serving the patients in the Raleigh community.”
Originally from Gastonia, NC, she earned her B.A. degree in biology and psychology from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Before she entered physician assistant school, she gathered valuable experience as a medical assistant in an ENT practice. Not only did this allow her to gain insight and knowledge, but it also fueled her passion for this specialized area of medicine.
In 2020, she earned her Master of Science Degree in Physician Assistant from East Carolina University with an interest in starting a career as an ENT PA. The diversity within the patient population and the array of conditions treated in ENT resonated deeply with Paige’s professional calling. She is especially interested in diseases of the ear and sinuses. She worked as an ENT PA in Goldsboro for nearly two years before moving to Raleigh.
“I believe in the importance of patient education,” she said. “Clear communication is the key that ensures patients are well-informed about their medical conditions, treatment options, and expected outcomes. This commitment empowers patients to actively participate in their care plans, fostering a collaborative and informed approach to healthcare.”
Paige lives in Raleigh and enjoys spending quality time with family and friends, nature walks and bike rides, sharing moments with beloved animals, exploring local restaurants and community events, and participating in trivia.
