Daniel Peters, MD
R. Daniel Peters, MD is board certified by the American Academy of Otolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery. He has also completed a fellowship through the American Academy of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery.
Dr. Peters grew up in North Carolina. He graduated from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where he studied biology and anthropology. He then moved to Ann Arbor, Michigan to attend the University of Michigan Medical School. During medical school, Dr. Peters was granted a NIH sponsored research fellowship in the department of Otolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery. After medial school, he moved to Charlottesville, Virginia to complete a residency in Otolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery at the University of Virginia. Following residency, he was selected for a fellowship in Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at the University of California, Irvine. During fellowship, Dr. Peters had the opportunity to teach residents and medical students while serving as a Clinical Instructor. He joined Raleigh Capitol Ear, Nose, and Throat in December 2019.
Dr. Peters’ practice encompasses all aspects of general otolaryngology in both children and adults. He enjoys helping patients understand their condition so that they can be an active participant in their care.
Dr. Peters has a special interest in Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery. During fellowship, he received extensive training in rhinoplasty, skin cancer reconstruction, and facial trauma. He was also trained in both surgical and non-surgical facial rejuvenation. When considering aesthetic surgery, he will work with you to help you achieve your goals while maintaining a natural appearance.
Dr. Peters and his wife live in Raleigh with their two sons. He enjoys spending time outside with his family. He also has interests in backpacking, playing/writing music, barbeque, and college basketball.
